Fahad Tajiki
Neuromorphic Hardware Architect
I’m a Master’s student in Computer Engineering at NYU Tandon. My academic focus centers on neuromorphic computing, hardware acceleration, and intelligent edge systems for efficient AI deployment.
Rationale
Our world is advancing at an unprecedented rate as we eagerly embrace
technological progress in AI.
To maintain the pace of innovation, we must address the growing demands for high-performance and
low-cost
computing platforms. In the post-Moore and post-Dennard era, compute has shifted from
general-purpose
CPUs toward domain-specific accelerators, such as GPUs, TPUs, and NPUs. However, these architectures
are limited by the same stagnation in CMOS scaling, raising the risk of an impending
accelerator
wall. Looking ahead, I believe the emergence of novel computing paradigms will democratize AI
hardware.

Books
I generally enjoy books focused on advice, engineering, history, and the future. For me, finishing a book cover to cover is rarely the point. I like to think of books as an asynchronous conversation where you don’t necessarily get a reply.
